Thanks to all the artists who wanted to participate in this latest volume!

Two new musical presences join the Nostress family, introducing themselves in brief, effective words. WIRES ON MOON is an electronic duo from Livorno made up of Isabella Mentessi and Massimo Ruberti. Dreampop, synthpop, psychedelia:

"...we liked the image of cables on the Moon, meaning the tangle of audio and electrical cables that invade every music studio, crawling across the lunar soil and connecting to the Moon itself; so there is the modern element interfacing with the archaic one (the Moon) and with all its myths, including those of modern science fiction."

And FANGU, the alter ego and experimental electronic producer of Leonardo Vetrano (formerly guitarist with The Brilliants At Breakfast, Cinema Noir and dasES):

"...the idea developed between 2020 and 2021 when, in the middle of lockdown, with every kind of gathering forbidden and rehearsals and concerts with the band at a standstill, the need to create did not stop, and above all the wish to do it with friends, even at a distance. That is why FanGu, although born as a solo project, has never really been one; this is how the collaborations came about, with Il mio Giardino Prensile (Varcocu), Ottica Siluraro Project (A Tia Taliu), Less (Lù RE), Roof Size (IOCU) and Mammut nel Caos (Mantra). The single included in the tenth volume of the Compilation, "Beddu Cottu e Cataliatu", was conceived together with Mauro Maniscalco "Maniscalco", founder and current bass player of dasES. The electric bass line is indeed the protagonist of the piece, with its insistent drive shaping the melody.

"Beddu Cottu e Cataliatu" is a track that could be called "alternative electro ethno rock": in plain terms, to a bed of experimental electronic music with a pressing, booming rhythm, Mauro’s bass was added, and with its presence and intensity it creates the melody of the piece, all of it supported by a distorted vocal in Sicilian dialect, with words expressing the state of "immobility" of our people, who want everything served up ready and where almost no one does anything to change how things are. The title and refrain of the track are taken from a traditional Sicilian Christmas poem.*
