Earcom 2 is an experimental electronic music project of analogue and digital machines and synthesizers by Emilio Totta and Valentina Rametta, capable of generating intense grooves that propagate and extend into dizzying paths of ambient drone and gusts of pulsating, neurotic noise, structuring a compact and uniform amalgam that joins analogue and digital instrumentation. Full-bodied sonorities in which darkness prevails, evoking the atmospheres of the Berlin of city-centre clubs which, through its narrow alleys, awaits the day in the uncertainty and silence of an autumn night — the whole thing interrupted by restless, well-hidden felines. There are many surprises and nuances to be met while listening to this performance which, just like those Berlin alleys, loses itself in the uncertainty and silence of a night, and can suddenly be broken by hammering noises that dismantle every balance.
"No Laptop On Stage", a performance dating back to 21 May 2017 at the well-known ModCafè in the historic centre of Palermo, was born from the fusion of industrial mercury and the chemistry of electronic music. The duo leaves enormous spaces in narrow, dronic environments, broken by sampled grooves processed inside modular analogue machines that suspend time and catapult it into endless dark abysses. The "noises" are created as elegantly as soft armchairs awaiting the ears of whoever listens. Slaughtered synthesizers, together with foggy pads, await electronic judgment.
