Yalùt

"Yalùt" is the new work by Mammut Nel Caos, one-man band project by Angelo Barraco. The album was born as a sound commission for a television program on the national network, in which a contribution of jingles with electronic sounds was expected during the intervals. The television program was cancelled and the recordings remained archived for several years. The decision to reopen the project was born during the mix of "Hura Mayura", when the recordings came out for a complete release. Those 80s electropop sonorities, however, were too far from "Hura Mayura", so the release was postponed. "Yalùt" is an invented word that does not exist. The record was composed, produced, recorded, arranged and sampled by Angelo Barraco in Marsala (TP), at the Gaspare Pizzo Home Studio on a hot summer afternoon. The songs have been mixed, manipulated and mastered by René Delacroix in Ecuador, in the city of Quito, in the Pichincha region. Nicola Manzan (Bologna Violenta) worked for the final consulting of the mastering. The vocal sampling that unites the two pieces is by Aleister Crowley.
